Today, I thought I would have been balling my eyes out all day because you’re leaving for Texas. I cried as I saw you drive away, I ran inside, laid down, and cried for maybe 5 minutes, and then I realized: just how strong your love has made me. I know this is going to be hard. I know there’s going to have to be so much commitment on BOTH sides, but I love you, I love you, I love you.

I love it when you let me drive your car, when we listen to silly rap songs really loud, and we sing like it’s nobodys business. I love it when you kiss me, when I look at you looking at me, and we both smile. I love it when you tell me you can’t wait to wake up next to me forever. When you tell me that you want me to experience life, but you want me to be yours. When you bring me orange juice cause I’m sickly. When I’m late to school because you were driving me and we decide to go get breakfast and I’ll be even more late. When you tell me you’re so in love with me. When you cuddle with me and we’re both really sweaty, but you’ll never move. When you watch sunsets with me, surprise me with presents, and let me cook you dinner. When we can sit on the couch and drink a beer with my family around. When we go out to dinner, and you wink at me. Prom night, when we had to sit at the bar because you wanted everyone to see us. How much fun you truly are to dance with because you act like nobodys around, yet everyone is watching. When you kiss my forehead. When you wipe away my tears of happiness. When you wrap your arms around me, when you laugh with me. When I smile, it’s because of you.
I am so in love with you that I just want to support you each and every day. Even though you’re going to be 1,645 miles away, and I know that you’re going to be deployed, I have never wanted to work for something, or someone, like this before. You are truly the love of my life. I know that when I see you again, I will feel this way. Love is truly powerful and I’m going to work so hard. The Army may have my Soldier, but I have his heart.
I can’t wait to see your reaction when I walk down the aisle. I can’t wait to cook for you every night when you come home from work. I can’t wait to wake up every morning, roll over, and kiss you. To design our first home together. To grow our lives together, forever. I simply can not wait. I know you’re the one. The funny thing about it, is when you know, you know.
Don’t you really hate it the way life deals its cards to you? I mean, honestly, you can be handed such great things and have them taken away all in an instant, but some things we should fight for and some things we should learn to let go. You, in particular, is just one thing I can not get out of my head. You’re brilliant, kind, genuine, and charming. You make me smile my biggest smile and I myself don’t even know why. Why would anyone want to get rid of that?
Today, he is the best man in my wedding. Nine years ago, on my first day in the office, he was the random guy I shared a laugh with simply because we were wearing the same exact tie.
My best friend and I instinctually thought each other were bitches. A month or so later, we became best friends laughing about how I fell in my food. We have been best friends ever since. Kitty Ogen, I love you.
